Lessons from a Noob: Trust, Lockers, and LIOR Camaraderie
First time out, Tom expected nerves—but found patience, wisdom, and plenty of laughs from fellow LIOR members. Between tackling rocky climbs, learning to trust spotters, and realizing lockers prevent getting stuck (not fix it after), he came away hooked. Add in trailside stories, wild rigs—including a pink-accented Jeep and a fearless Geo Tracker—and it was clear: this hobby is here to stay.
Mud, Misfires, and Midnight Laughter: A Weekend at Mettowee
Six rigs tackled slick, muddy trails, rocky hill climbs, and even a seesaw before capping it all with campfires, grilling, and endless laughter. Justin lost $100, Bob shaved religiously, Ed lost—and later burned—his directions, and stories flowed louder than the beer. With winches pulling, sausages dropped (and Windexed), and Justin’s volume waking dogs and rangers alike, the trip was equal parts wheeling and comedy show.
